Sports Arena “2 Aorakia”
It is located in the city of Heraklion, on the island of Crete, in Greece. It is one of the most important multi-purpose sports facilities in Greece with over 5,000 seating capacity.
Until 2017, the arena had some old
fashioned electronic scoreboards and shot clocks.
The strategic plan of its management to host successful international
tournaments and events created the need for a high quality timing,
scoreboard and video system.
Quince electronics
was selected by the Municipality of Heraklion to deliver a complete
timing and video system. The system is of latest technology and covers
the requirements of the highest level of competition.
It consists of:
– 2 large high resolution video LED screens of 18 sq.m. each,
– 2 large multi-sport electronic scoreboards and
– a pair of 3-side 24-sec electronic shot clocks.
